Dutchman Campers Are Affordable And Feature Filled
Dutchman campers have a reputation for being among the most affordable pop up campers in the market, as well as for being generous with their standard features. The company was originally founded in 1989 but was eventually absorbed by Thor Industries in 1991. At present, Dutchman is one of twenty brands owned by Thor.
There are 14 floor plans in its Lite line, with lengths ranging from 18 feet to 31 feet long and weights starting at 4,200 lbs. The exterior features of Dutchman trailers include an aerodynamic front profile with rock guard, 5”-thick tapered walk on roof, 30 amp power cord, heavy duty steel I-beam frame, stabilizer jacks, easy lubricating axles, 30-pound LP bottles, A&E patio awning and one-piece EPDM rubber roof.
Interior features include 13.5 BTU roof air conditioning, 12 volt water pump, floor ducted heating (not available on all models), TV antenna with signal booster and cable and satellite hook-up, AM/FM/CD stereo with four interior and two exterior speakers, electric power converter with battery charger, flip over sofa bed (on larger models) and six gallon gas/electric water heater.
Kitchen features include large Norcold double door gas/electric refrigerator, extra large double bowl sink, microwave oven, three burner range with oven and power range hood with 12 v light and exhaust fan.
Bedroom features include reading lights, inner-spring mattress, privacy curtain, lift-up bed with below storage space and TV tray.
Bathroom features include foot flush toilet, a 12 volt roof vent, skylight, tub and shower surround with shower curtain and 110 v duplex receptacles.
Optional features include flat screen LCD TV, residential-grade carpeting, free-standing dinette, a 15,000 BTU air conditioner, DVD player with theater surround system, 10 gallon gas and electric water heater, washer/dryer, eight cubic foot refrigerator, phone/data jack, rear ladder and exterior hot/cold water shower/wash station.
Aside from the many features, Dutchman trailers are also protected by exceptional warranties. All new Dutchman travel trailer purchases are covered by a two-year limited warranty; one-year limited bumper-to-hitch warranty and a two-year limited appliance and structural warranty. Of course, the warranty is valid only if the owner maintains the pluming, heating and electrical systems properly. The warranty is also non-transferable, meaning if you sell your camper to another person, it becomes void.
Used Dutchman pop up trailers are also much in demand and can readily be found on eBay, Craig’s List and at RV dealers. Thus, there is no reason for you not to get a Dutchman trailer and enjoy camping with your family without burning a hole in your wallet.
